Hi, I did a theatre program for a few days and Burt's Bees..?

In the program, we were given tips for stage crying. One of the tips was to apply burt's bees chapstick under your eyes. while it could cause you to cry, isnt this also dangerous to put near your eyes? thanks.Hi, I did a theatre program for a few days and Burt's Bees..?
Dangerous? No.

Very foolish and useless? Yes.

Read your BEST CASE SCENARIO:

The peppermint will irritate your eyes and cause them to tear up. You will feel nothing of the emotions and no one past the 2nd row will be able to see your crocodile tears. But your mind and emotions will be taken out of the scene to be consummed with the discomfort you feel.

Put this stuff under your eyes and wrinkles are guaranteed in less than a few hours of your applying the product way to strong and irritating to the delicate undereye area. (see below allergy sufferers)

So your eyes will water, you won't be able to see or concentrate on your scene. You'll probably forget your lines and you'll wake up the next day having aged 5 to 10 years from your newly found wrinkles.

Is it worth it? I've seen more than one career ruined because an actor used his face 'wrong' and wrinkles were permanent damage. Choose wisely. This is the time, before doing the foolish deed.

Good luck.Hi, I did a theatre program for a few days and Burt's Bees..?
i think its only dangerous if u get it in ur eyes. if its just under your eyes its not bad. if you still feel unconfortable using this technique, use a different one, like staring into the lights, which causes your eyes to water and you appear like you are crying
